Lecturer in Computing - London
Join the GEDU Global Education team as a Lecturer in Computing covering undergraduate levels within our BSc (Hons) Computing programme. Flexible teaching required across weekday, evening and weekend sessions.

Salary: £55,000
Contract: Full‑Time, Permanent (40 hours per week)

What you’ll be doing
Deliver modules centered on the three main themes: Technology, Software and Data, providing comprehensive course materials and supporting students. Responsibilities include planning, delivering, assessing student work, updating materials, using diverse teaching methods, engaging in staff development, and meeting defined student progression objectives.
* Plan, deliver, and assess student work to meet learning outcomes
* Develop and improve course materials
* Use varied learning and teaching methods
* Engage in staff development, peer observations, meetings, and administrative duties
* Stay updated with field developments and student support practices
* Work towards objectives for attendance, completion, satisfaction and progression
About You
* Master’s degree in a relevant subject (PhD desirable)
* UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area
* Extensive knowledge of at least two of: Programming/software development, Web development, Database systems, Cloud computing, Networking, Cybersecurity, IoT, Business IT systems, IT management, AI/ML, Operating Systems, UI/UX
* Experience supervising student work and providing feedback
* Accurate reporting and maintaining thorough student records
* Ability to work under pressure, plan and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills
* Ability to work with diverse groups of people
Desirable
* Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme within probation and complete within three years; Fellowship of HEA or international equivalent
* Experience designing/developing academic or professional education programmes
