About the Role: 21 Health and Social Care is actively recruiting experienced and compassionateResidential Childcare Workerson anad hoc / bank basisto support a variety of clients across Residential Childcare. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking forflexible working arrangementswhile making a real difference in the lives of children and young people.
Our clients include a wide range of residential childcare providers supporting young people with complex needs, including emotional and behavioural challenges, trauma backgrounds, and learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to children and young people in residential settings
* Support with day-to-day routines including personal care, education, activities, and emotional support
* Promote a safe, nurturing, and positive environment
* Work collaboratively with permanent staff and external professionals
* Maintain accurate and timely records in line with care plans and organisational policies
* Support young people in developing life skills, independence, and healthy relationships
What Were Looking For:
* Experience working in a residential childcare or similar care setting is essential
* Strong understanding of safeguarding and trauma-informed approaches
* Ability to build trusting, professional relationships with young people and staff
* Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to new environments quickly
* SVQ Level 3 in Social Services (Children and Young People) & HNC in Social Services or equivalent is desirable
* SSSC registration (or willingness to register) required
* PVG Scheme membership required (or willingness to join)
