Lead Test Engineer – £500/day (Outside IR35)
Manchester | Hybrid (2 days/week onsite)
A brand-new greenfield platform is being built from the ground up, and we’re looking for a Lead QA who can bring structure, predictability, and quality to a fast‑moving multi‑team engineering environment.
You’ll be the heartbeat of quality across several squads, owning release planning, test strategy, and cross‑team alignment for a major next‑generation product used across the UK and Europe.
What you’ll be doing
* Leading QA delivery across multiple teams
* Owning test strategies, release test plans, and cross‑team coordination
* Driving quality, pace, and visibility to senior leadership
* Ensuring stable, predictable releases through strong QA discipline
* Getting stuck into exploratory testing and pushing automation opportunities
What you’ll bring
* Confident communicator across engineering, PMs, and leadership
* Experience working with CI/CD, release management, and complex integrations
* API testing knowledge (Postman/SoapUI) is a bonus
