CNC Turn-Mill Machinist (Dayshift)
£18-£25 per hour + Overtime | 43 hours per week | Permanent
Location: Cheltenham
We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Turn-Mill Machinist to join a well-established, high-precision engineering business in Cheltenham.
This position offers the opportunity to work on complex, small-batch components within a quality-driven environment. It is ideally suited to a machinist who is confident setting and operating independently, with a strong focus on precision and consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set and operate CNC Turn-Mill machines (experience with Mori Seiki NTX or NLX machines highly advantageous)
* Work confidently with Fanuc controls (Mori Seiki-based Fanuc systems desirable)
* Machine complex, high-value components in exotic and semi-exotic materials including Inconel, titanium and stainless steels
* Interpret detailed engineering drawings and manufacture components to tight tolerances
* Conduct in-process inspection to ensure components meet specification
* Maintain high standards of accuracy, productivity and workplace safety
About You:
* Strong background in CNC Turn-Mill machining - turn-mill experience is essential
* Confident in full machine setting and operation (editing/programming capability advantageous)
* Experienced machining challenging materials to fine tolerances
* Able to work independently and solve problems effectively
* Quality-focused, reliable and detail-oriented
Hours & Pay:
* Dayshift - 43 hours per week
* Overtime available
* £18-£25 per hour depending on experience
