About the Role
Pharmacy Technician at Practice Plus Group, joining the pharmacy team at HMP Wealstun, a Category C prison located near Wetherby, Yorkshire. The pharmacy has its own dispensary and a full team of around 15 staff, both permanent and bank.
Hours
37.5 hours across 4 days, working 07:30 – 17:30 and 1 weekend in 4.
Salary
Full‑time position; annual salary up to £41,658 FTE, depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK. Due to the nature of the role, employment offers will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
What You'll Be Doing
* Provide outstanding quality based, patient‑centred care to patients, seeking, listening to and acting on their feedback to make care personalised and informed by what matters to them.
* Focus on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.
* Deliver non‑judgemental care within the scope of professional standards, from the timely administration of medicines to analysing cost‑effective prescribing as defined through our unique Health in Justice medicines policy.
* Work as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, making a real difference.

Qualifications Required
* NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
* Relevant post‑qualification pharmacy experience
* General GCSE education or equivalent
* Able to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
