Morson are recruiting on behalf of a leading Aerospace client based in Filton. This is a 12 month contract, highly likely to be long-term/temporary to Permanent
Responsibilities
* Machining of aircraft parts to drawing specification
* Checking of parts using conventional equipment including height gauges
* Micrometers, vernier, calipers to meet required specification
* Working to engineering drawings
* Manufacturing to defined high tolerances
* Manually or mechanically move components to ensure the effective flow of production within the cell
* Deburring for onward safe handling only
Shift details
Standard Hours: Averaged at 36 per week
Shift Pattern: 3 on 4 off Nights (presently no Saturday working but may re-introduce every other Saturday). May be period on Core Days of approx. 4 weeks whilst settle into the role – how long in days will depend on the individuals experience
Rate: 3 on 4 off nights - £26.77 per
Other working hours information: Nightshift 3 on 4 off - working a 17 week rotation - (one shift Sunday Monday Tuesday -12 hour shifts with paid half hour lunch working 7pm to 7 am) (Second shift Weds Thursday Friday Nights) May introduce working every other Saturday
Overtime paid at £30.65 and Saturday overtime paid at £34.14. When Stamp Obtained usually after 12 weeks rates increase to £27.86 with overtime Sunday to Friday rising to £31.90 and Saturday overtime at £35.53. Core Day Rates whilst training £19.40 per hour
Experience required
A recognised machining indentured apprenticeship and ideally have previous manufacturing experience in a factory environment
