Green Highland Renewables, a leader in hydropower development and operations across the UK, is seeking a skilled HSE Engineer to join our team. As part of Voith Hydro, we provide cutting-edge hydropower solutions, and this role will be essential in supporting the safety, compliance, and operational integrity of our hydropower projects.

Your task
1. You will review project documentation such as HSE Plans, Risk Assessments, and COSHH assessments to ensure compliance with UK regulations and best practices.
2. You will assist in developing and integrating “Safety-in-Design” principles into company processes, embedding safety from concept to implementation.
3. You will collaborate with clients and internal teams, ensuring effective communication on HSE-related matters.
4. You will support site visits across the UK to conduct HSE inspections and audits, gaining hands-on experience in compliance management.
5. You will participate in risk assessments to identify potential hazards and help implement effective control measures.
6. You will assist in investigating safety incidents, contributing to root cause analysis and corrective actions.
7. You will provide training and support to site teams on HSE procedures, helping them understand and comply with safety standards.
Your Profile
8. You have recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related field) or a similar technical discipline.
9. You are passionate about Health, Safety & Environment and eager to learn about regulations, risk management, and compliance.
10. Previous experience through internships, student projects, or 1–2 years in HSE or engineering is an advantage but not required.
11. You have strong communication skills and enjoy working in a collaborative, international environment.
12. You are willing to travel within the UK for site visits and audits.
13. You are organized, detail-oriented, and ready to take initiative in a supportive team setting.
