Senior Bookkeeper / Manager
Glasgow City Centre – Hybrid + Flexible Hours, Free Onsite Parking
Up to c.£45,000 DOE + Bonus + Fantastic Benefits
Eden Scott Accountancy & Finance are delighted to partner with a forward‑thinking accounting practice in Glasgow City Centre during an exciting period of expansion. As the business scales, we are looking for a proactive and hands‑on Senior Bookkeeper/Manager who can make a real impact – leading the team, shaping processes, driving workflow efficiency, and playing a key role in onboarding and supporting a growing client base.

The Role
As Senior Bookkeeper/Manager, you will:
* Lead, coach and mentor a growing bookkeeping team
* Manage workflow and ensure smooth delivery across the client portfolio
* Oversee onboarding of new clients and maintain strong working relationships
* Support and develop junior team members
* Bring structure, organisation and a proactive approach to day‑to‑day operations
Person Specification
* A UK accountancy‑practice background is essential
* Strong experience in bookkeeping, management accounts and client communication
* Proven ability to coach, mentor and manage a team
* Confident managing workflow, deadlines and client expectations
* Strong working knowledge of cloud accounting software (e.g., Xero)
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and take ownership of processes
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
* Experience onboarding new clients and improving internal processes
* Exposure to training or developing junior staff
* Experience working with a varied portfolio of SME clients
* Knowledge of payroll or VAT processes
