Job Overview
We are looking for a Semi-skilled Construction Operative to join our repairs and maintenance team. You will complete allocated jobs right the first time, adopt a whole‑job repair approach and provide brilliant service for our customers.
Responsibilities
* Complete all assigned jobs accurately and efficiently, delivering high‑quality, compliant work.
* Support the trades team with repairs, maintenance and property refurbishment (joinery, roofing, decorating, bricklaying, plumbing, etc.).
* Carry out site activities such as clearing, disposals, driving and storage of materials.
* Work to improve first‑time fixes and reduce the need for repeat visits to customers’ homes.
* Use company technology to log jobs and collaborate with colleagues.
* Work Monday to Friday, with occasional on‑call service on a rota basis.
Qualifications
* Experience in semi‑skilled work within a maintenance environment.
* Knowledge of building construction and trade activities.
* Flexible, initiative‑driven, able to exercise good judgement.
* Full current driving licence (a company van is supplied for business use and commuting).
* Basic DBS and health check – completed and paid by the company.
* Proficiency with technology for job logging and online learning.
Benefits
* Permanent, full‑time contract – 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday with on‑call rotas.
* Gross salary of £29,830 per annum.
