This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and associated behavioural needs, helping them to engage positively with learning and thrive both academically and emotionally.
The school has a warm and welcoming feel, with a strong sense of community throughout. The Role:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs
Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff
Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs, behavioural needs, or additional support needs
Calm, patient, and nurturing approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to remain resilient and professional in challenging situations
Passionate about making a positive difference in children's lives
