Housing Officer – Rochdale
£14.20 - £15.10 + holiday pay per hour
Full time, 37 hours per week
Initially temporary with a possibility of extension for the right candidate
The role
As a Housing Officer you will manage between 40 and 50 properties across the Rochdale area and be responsible for;
* Completing initial viewings, sign-ups and move in
* Arrears management and rent collection
* Liaising with private landlords to ensure a positive relationship is maintained
* Liaising with external contractors and working alongside internal support teams
* Carrying out regular property inspections and arranging for repairs to be completed
* Providing housing related support to promote tenancy sustainment
The candidate
* Experience within a housing management role or within a related setting
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage a property portfolio independently
* The ability to work with and build relationships with vulnerable people, landlords etc
* Knowledge and understanding of the private rented sector
* Competent with IT / housing management systems.
