While their products are virtually invisible, they play a vital role in ensuring the quality of modern life and we are committed to connecting what matters to solve some of the world's biggest adhesion challenges.Key objectives: The Maintenance Manager reports to the Plant Manager and has primary responsibility for all maintenance activities in the Preston facilities. The suitable candidate will ideally have a proven background in the Chemical industry, or have a strong industry understanding of blending and batch processing. You will have successfully implemented Engineering process improvements, developed preventative/predictive maintenance strategies alongside breakdown repairs, lean manufacturing, process improvement and health and safety all to the highest of standards. Key Tasks & ResponsibilitiesTechnical personnel of the maintenance department – 3 Direct reportsResponsibility and accountable for maintenance schedules, adhering to preventative maintenance schedules (PPM) to achieve asset reliability, identify deficiencies and take steps to improve. Responsibility for facility infrastructure i.e. building management, site security systems and fire protection/prevention systems. Ensure safety (e.g. Contractors Management, LOTO, Hot work, Permit to Work, & legal requirements) and quality procedures are followed consistently in the maintenance areaComplete (with EHS Support) risk assessments for maintenance activities Support the Plant manager in achieving the engineering goals and objectives Monitor repair and maintenance spend to ensure that the operational budget is achieved Responsible for spare parts inventory and availabilityOperate, Improve and control CMMS systemIntroduce and sustain maintenance KPIs and communicate via visual management/dashboard at a plant level and monthly to plant manager Lead, supervise and coordinate the maintenance team to monitor, maintain and improve all technical processes on site Act as responsible supervisor for electrical equipment on site and improve electrical systems to meet regulations and guidelines and set standards Work closely with the Process/Chemical engineer to investigate manufacturing problems and address issues including solutions to production and plant managerComplete actions within our action trackers related to unplanned requests, incident corrective action and management of change requirementsImprove manufacturing processes and advance technical systemsCollaboratively coordinate maintenance activities with other departments, including 3rd Party Contractors.Hire, train, and mentor maintenance personnel as requiredComplete personal performance reviews and solve internal issuesSupport integrated management system requirements (ISO9001, 14001)Plan, support and execute capital investment projectsDesired Skills and Experience Preferably Mechanically bias with a sound understanding of electrical equipment and safety5 years hands on work experience in the maintenance fieldExpertise knowledge in electrical and mechanical systems within a chemical or batch process environment i.e ATEX/DSEAR requirements Demonstrated ability to evaluate and optimize electrical, mechanical and control systems in a manufacturing environment Proven record of high standards in H&S to ensure a safe working culture.Very good spoken & written EnglishExperienced in people managementSolid computer skills, MS Office and MS ProjectIf this opportunity is of interest and you would like to apply, then please email John-Paul Elliott with an up to date copy of your cv.
