Within the range of £44,337 to £51,081 per annum* Bar at salary point 2 & 4. Progression beyond the bar requires an application process against eligibility criteria
Starting salary subject to college salary assessment process
35 hours per week (includes some teaching hours), 52 weeks a year, up to 1 year or the return of the permanent post holder (whichever is sooner)
This is an excellent career opportunity to join the management team at Suffolk New College. This role will require you to lead on the operational and strategic aspects of the ESOL curriculum area.
Working closely with the Director, you will pro-actively support, lead and develop staff to deliver an exceptional student experience.
Required Skills and Experience
* Excellent people management and development skills.
* Expertise in the curriculum areas of the role and experience working with young people aged 16+.
* Ability to build and develop sustainable relationships with employers and external agencies.
* Creative and innovative approaches that deliver an exceptional student experience and student outcomes.
* Proven teaching expertise in a related subject area and positive lesson observations.
* Hold a degree or professional qualification, maths and English at level 2 or equivalent, alongside a teaching qualification at level 5.
This post is based at Suffolk New College Ipswich. However, as a multi-campuses site, you may be required to work at and travel between campuses.
