About the Role:
We are seeking committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Camden. You will support pupils with a range of additional needs including autism (ASD), speech and language difficulties, ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges. You'll work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide targeted, pupil-centred support across the school day.
This is a fulfilling role where you'll have the chance to make a lasting difference to children at a crucial stage of their development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with SEN
* Help implement and monitor individual education plans (IEPs)
* Support children's emotional wellbeing and behaviour management
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists
* Encourage independence, confidence, and social interaction among pupils
What We're Looking For:
* Experience supporting children with special educational needs, ideally in a primary school
* A patient, caring, and proactive attitude
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to the needs of individual pupils
* Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (desirable but not essential)
