Location: Glasgow – Govan and Scotstoun (On-site, with a requirement to attend a recruitment day in Glasgow)
Salary: £38,662.00 (plus a potential shift allowance of 33%)
Your Role Awaits
As a Sheet Metal Worker at BAE Systems, you will play a crucial role in our mission to design and build world-leading naval ships. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
* Manufacturing and installing ventilation and furniture
* Upholding engineering standards and striving for quality on the first go
* Utilizing a variety of hand tools
* Applying your hand skills for both manufacturing and installation
* Interpreting manufacturing and installation drawings
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
* A Modern Apprenticeship certificate (Trade Papers) – please attach these with your application
* A solid understanding of SHE, COSHH risks, and manufacturing processes
* Comfort in working in confined spaces and/or at heights
* Safety certifications (e.g., SHE Induction, COSHH awareness, working at height)
* A background in a major construction or manufacturing environment
