About the role
Our Shift Leader rate of pay starts from £15.59 an hour. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
The role offers a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, with a flexible range down to a minimum of 12 hours if preferred.
Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate store team to deliver an easy, fuss‑free shopping experience.
* Own duty shifts, ensuring the store is clean, well‑stocked and meets customer expectations.
* Attend to customers, listen to them and help them meet their needs.
* Coach teammates, provide feedback and inspire them to deliver beyond expectations.
* Maintain a safe workplace, follow health and safety procedures and encourage compliance.
* Support managers with seasonal, community and charity events, and coordinate store improvements.
* Keep the team informed on communications, changes or updates, and share progress on store performance.
* Identify and remove obstacles that hinder customer service and operate efficiently.
* Celebrate colleague achievements and recognise great service.
Eligibility
* Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
* Only individuals who have passed the school leaver’s age may be considered for roles that involve early/late shifts or work in specific areas such as the warehouse, bakery, or driving.
* Applicants should be able to work within the required availability window, but flexibility will be considered.
