Job Description
We are looking for someone with strong operational leadership experience within industrial cleaning, ideally in the food manufacturing sector.
This is an active, fast-paced role where no two days are the same, and where stakeholder engagement, problem-solving and team development are key to success.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage a team of hygiene operatives and supporting supervisors
2. Own and maintain the Master Sanitation Schedule
3. Ensure all hygiene tasks are completed safely, correctly, and on time
4. Participate in and conduct internal and external audits
5. Allocate the right staff to the right tasks and ensure all team members are fully trained
6. Work closely with the customer and attend regular review meetings
7. Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, development, appraisals, payroll and budgeting for your team
8. Carry out regular site inspections and resolve issues quickly
9. Identify opportunities for improvement and contribute new ideas to enhance the contract
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
10. Experience managing industrial cleaning teams within a manufacturing environment (essential)
11. Previous hygiene management experience (preferred)
12. Strong stakeholder management capabilities
13. Experience with Permits to Work, including working at heights and cleaning walls/ceilings via scissor lifts
14. Proven people management experience, including finance, payroll and recruitment tasks
15. Experience within the food industry
16. Strong leadership and team-building skills
17. Effective problem-solving abilities
18. Good knowledge of cleaning methodologies, systems and procedures
