Senior network engineer

Salary: £65,000 - 65,000 per year Requirements: We require a Cisco CCNA or CCNP Datacentre certification. We require at least 6 years of experience working in complex network environments. We require in-depth knowledge of TCP/IP networks, IP protocols, and exposure to all layers of the OSI model. We require strong experience with routing protocols, tunnelling protocols, and complex network environments. We require experience following best practices and strict security guidelines. We require experience maintaining network performance using network monitoring systems or vendor tools. We require demonstrable experience managing and maintaining wide area networks. We require experience configuring multiple vendor firewalls, enterprise routers, and datacentre switches. We require experience with network and storage configurations for HPC environments. We require experience with common operating systems including Windows Server and Linux/RHEL. We require server hardware and blade enclosure configuration experience. We require exposure to Storage Area Networks, virtualization products such as VMware ESXi, and VDI solutions with accelerated storage. We require eligibility to work and live in the UK. We require willingness to undergo and maintain appropriate UK government DV-level security clearance. Experience with EVPN-VXLAN frameworks is desirable. Previous exposure to load balancing is desirable.
