We are recruiting for a Autism Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team of educators supporting additional needs including complex and multiple learning disabilities and difficulties, speech, language and communication needs, physical and sensory needs.

Your role & responsibilities as an Autism Teaching Assistant:
1. Promote inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
2. Contribute to developing a creative curriculum where creative learning opportunities are available for all pupils
3. Support pupils in small groups and on a one to one basis whilst responding to their individual needs
4. Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/work plans as appropriate
Non-negotiables as an Autism Teaching Assistant:
5. Must have recent and relevant experience in working with children and young people
6. Must have worked with young people with Autism
7. Must have experience working with individuals with SEND
8. Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
9. Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the classroom teacher and as part of a wider team
