Essential
1. Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with behavioural, SEMH, or SEND needs.
2. Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
3. Ability to build positive relationships with challenging or vulnerable pupils.
4. Resilience, patience, and a calm, reflective approach.
5. Good literacy and numeracy skills.
6. Understanding of safeguarding procedures and professional boundaries.
Desirable
7. Experience in a PRU, alternative provision, or specialist SEND setting.
8. Training in Team Teach, MAPA, or other behaviour intervention methods.
9. Knowledge of trauma-informed practice, restorative approaches, or therapeutic strategies.
10. Relevant qualifications (, Level 3 TA, Youth Work, Psychology, Counselling).
