Are you a team player who is eager to learn and grow? Do you have a keen eye for detail to help our Sterile Services Team deliver a high-quality service supporting patient care?

We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our Sterile Services Team, where you will be responsible for the decontamination of reusable medical instruments.

We have opportunities available for the following shifts: 06:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00. These roles require rotational weekend work (one weekend every six weeks) and some Bank Holiday shifts (half the year, depending on allocation).

Prior experience in decontamination is not necessary, as full training will be provided. Strong literacy, numeracy skills and basic IT knowledge are preferred.

This role offers progression to Band 3 upon the successful completion of competency assessments.

To undertake the decontamination of reusable medical devices, including the operation of equipment such as washer disinfectors, autoclaves and endoscope washer disinfectors.

Provide a high standard of service delivery, promoting good team work including the organisation of production activity between fellow Technicians within particular sections of the department to ensure that the needs of user departments are met.

To assist in the provision of a positive learning environment and promote the wellbeing of all members of Sterile Services personnel.

Bring to the attention of Team Leaders and other members of the management team any issues that may adversely affect the provision of a high quality decontamination service.
