The Head & Neck Team are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic Medical Secretary to work within the ENT department based at Russell's Hall Hospital in Dudley.
You should have a good knowledge of medical terminology and have the ability to work without direct supervision, be able to prioritise and manage workloads. You will be the first point of contact and communication for general practitioners, consultant colleagues, nursing staff, administrative and other hospital staff, patients, relatives and outside agencies.
Main duties of the job
You will provide professional and efficient secretarial and administrative support to the consultants and medical teams.
To provide a comprehensive Medical Secretarial service to the Consultants, Middle Grade Doctors, Clinical Nurse Specialists and supporting teams within the Ear Nose & Throat department. To work collaboratively with other Medical Secretary colleagues to ensure clinically correspondence is produced and distributed designated timescales. The post holder will carry out his/her duties in such a way to make a direct positive contribution to the organisation. It is essential that the post holder should exercise initiative commensurate with the role and that confidentiality be maintained at all times
