We have an opportunity for a Senior Physiotherapist to join their team of staff in the Physiotherapy department.
This is a Full time role for hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
The successful candidate will be working alongside a highly experienced, friendly, and approachable team.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
1. Chartered Physiotherapist with vast postgraduate general Physiotherapy experience and relevant experience in a more specialist area.
2. Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
3. This would suit an experienced rotational physiotherapist who wants to expand their knowledge base and drive forward standards of excellence and patient care. Applications from Band 5 physiotherapists with some experience of elective orthopaedics and MSK outpatients will be considered.
4. Knowledge of Quality Assurance tools.
5. Degree level educated, or equivalent.
Main duties of the job
The role will be split between inpatients (predominantly elective orthopaedics) and MSK outpatients. You will need to have clinical expertise and experience in assessing and treating patients with musculoskeletal conditions and be committed to teamwork and patient centred care. You will have the necessary skills to work independently and be required to contribute to the development of both the physiotherapy department and team pathways. We are committed to CPD and will support your development in this role by providing a regular in-service training programme and mentoring with senior staff.
Main duties of the job To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner; to work alone with access to guidance from highly specialised Physiotherapists within the trust. To be professionally and legally accountable for a designated patient caseload and to decide priorities for own work area, balancing other patient related and professional demands. To manage clinical risk within own patient caseload. This may involve complex decision-making regarding patients being safe to return to their place of residence or requiring admission to hospital. You will be responsible for providing independent physiotherapy assessment of MSK outpatients patients with diverse presentations and complex conditions to provide a diagnosis and develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme.

32. Chartered Physiotherapist Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
33. Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
34. Knowledge of CSP and HCPC Codes and guidelines and their implications for practice.
35. Knowledge of the Care Standards Act and Care and Quality Commission Requirements.
36. Knowledge of Quality Assurance tools.
