Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? At Lyttelton House School, located in the heart of Andover, Hampshire, we are looking for a dedicated Tutor to join our vibrant community. With a capacity for up to 60 pupils aged 5 to 16 years, we provide a safe and supportive environment for children with complex needs.

Your Role
As a Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting our students' personal and academic development. Your responsibilities will include:
* Enhancing wellbeing, readiness for learning, resilience, and behaviour management.
* Collaborating with the Education Team to remove barriers to learning.
* Leading classes during PPA and absence cover, with planning support from teaching staff.
* Delivering engaging enrichment activities during 'Golden Time'.
* Providing in-class support for academic, pastoral, emotional, or behavioural needs.
* Responding to immediate concerns and resolving situations appropriately.
* Creating and collating information related to lessons and interventions.
* Acting as an advocate for the ethos of Lyttelton House School.
* Leading on Reading and Phonics, reviewing student progress.
* Developing the role of Pupil Voice and liaising with the Senior Leadership Team.
* Building strong relationships with parents/carers during transitions and consultations.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* A strong educational background, with at least GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
* Previous experience in a similar role (e.g., HLTA) and working with pupils with SEMH.
* Confidence to take on additional responsibilities in specific areas (e.g., Food Hygiene, Forest School, Lunchtimes, School Yoga).
* Experience in behaviour management techniques.
* A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.
