This post is funded for the 2026/27 academic year onwards, so the successful candidate will not be expected to commence before August 2026.
Role Overview
Vocational Skills Assessors play a vital role across the School’s Further and Higher Education provision. They are responsible for delivering practical and online assessments, supporting learners to develop commercial awareness, employability and enterprise skills, and ensuring compliance with health and safety policies at all times.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop partnerships with Early Years Provisions.
• Provide placement support for all students.
• Undertake assessments in the workplace and at the college, ensuring a professional image at all times.
Required Qualifications and Experience
• Professional qualifications with a reputable awarding body or a recognised TDLB Assessor Award (D32, D33, A1) and an Internal Verifier (IV) award.
• Level 6 qualification or above, with an Early Years specialism.
• Recent experience in Early Years assessment, including the use of e-portfolio systems.
• Current industry experience evidenced through CPD or recent practice in Early Years settings, including school provision (SEN desirable).
