Data Loss Prevention Manager Position

Hawksworth are now looking for a Security Data Loss Prevention Manager for a global Law firm. The role is permanent, remote (in the UK only) with travel infrequently to Belfast or London for meetups and face-to-face meetings.

The Job:

The Security Data Loss Prevention Manager will oversee and manage the organization's data loss prevention strategies and technologies. This includes executive reporting, building out reports, gathering statistics, future budgeting, leadership, and the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required skills & experience:

* A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in DLP and Cloud Solutions,
* At least 3-5 years in Management or Team leadership role.
* Good vendor management experience including making calls, holding vendors accountable, and managing roadmaps to avoid being vendor reactive.
* In-depth knowledge of DLP technologies, including Microsoft Purview and Proofpoint. Ability to oversee the implementation and management of these technologies.
* Policy Development and Compliance: Expertise in developing, implementing, and managing DLP policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
* Demonstratable experience in enterprise vendor management and executive-level reporting.
* Able to operate a DLP program at a large enterprise scale for a global organization.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement data loss prevention strategies to protect sensitive information.
* Manage and maintain existing data loss prevention technologies.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
* Analyze and report on data loss prevention metrics.
* Provide training and guidance to employees on data loss prevention best practices.

Skills and Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in DLP and cloud solutions.
* Proven track record of successfully managing vendors.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
