Join Lancashire County Council as a School Attendance Court Officer within the School Attendance Legal Team based at County Hall. Job Overview
The Access to Education service collaborates with colleagues, schools, children, and families across Lancashire to enhance school attendance. We seek a proactive team player skilled in legal proceedings and advocacy to enforce attendance regulations, including issuing penalty notices, parenting orders, and prosecuting in Magistrates' Courts.

Ability to investigate, assess, and undertake legal actions
Excellent advocacy skills for court representation
Driving license and own vehicle for travel across Lancashire courts
Support for hybrid working with regular office attendance in Chorley

Additional Information
This role is not open to international sponsorship. Successful candidates will need to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check due to the nature of the role. The position is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975.
