Role Overview
The post holder will have a Consultant(s) allocated to them and will support the MDT Co-ordinator.
The post holder is required to support the Team Leader Medical Secretary in the delivery of a comprehensive administrative service to a specialty team. This will involve managing appointment and admission related information to patients and carers, and/or typing correspondence as appropriate.
Responsibilities
Main duties of the job include:
* Medical secretary role, including office duties, typing letters, clinic alterations, answering telephone calls, and using software packages such as Microsoft, Careflow, iPortal, and other office based duties.
* Providing support for the MDT Co-ordinator and the Team Leader Medical Secretary.
Qualifications and Experience
* NVQ Level 2, OCR 2 or equivalent
* Reasonable standard of GCSE A-C (4-9) or equivalent
* Secretarial/clerical background (Desirable)
* Audio type writing skills (Desirable)
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office package including Microsoft Word and Outlook

Pay and Contract
Secondment – part-time. Band 3. Salary £24,937 to £26,598 a year per annum, pro rata.
