Role
Provide domestic service to patients, staff and visitors of NHS Lanarkshire (NHSL) premises through effective and efficient methods that deliver a safe and welcoming environment and meet NHSL and Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI) standards. To work alongside and support new staff in the working environment.

Location: Cumbernauld Central Health Centre. This is a part-time post with pro-rata salary.

Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in Domestic Services within Cumbernauld Central Health Centre.
Responsibilities and requirements
* Knowledge of cleaning standards and related procedures.
* On-the-job training and induction (typically 4-6 weeks) to achieve full competency across duties.
* Working knowledge of Health & Safety including risk assessment of tasks.
* PaMOVA training (Level 1 and Level 2) if identified following a risk assessment.
* Undertake NHSL compulsory training.
* Undertake mandatory Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) standards.
* Undertake and complete NHSS Domestic Services Workbook.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively and efficiently in a busy environment.
* Working knowledge of basic information technology.
Desirable qualifications and experience
* Recognised SVQ or equivalent relevant qualification.
* Experience in domestic services/cleaning environment.
* Knowledge of systems and processes (e.g., HAI; Manual Handling; Management of Aggression; Infection Control; COSHH; Fire Safety).
* Experience using a range of electrical cleaning equipment.
* Flexible and willing to learn; able to work under pressure.
