About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Teacher of English, with the potential for cover supervisor responsibilities, to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in a coastal community in Pembrokeshire.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic English specialist who is passionate about literature and language, and who can inspire learners across Key Stages 3 and 4. This role will suit a qualified teacher or an aspiring educator with strong subject knowledge who is keen to gain valuable classroom experience.
The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of high-quality English lessons and, where required, provide effective classroom supervision during teacher absence, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining positive behaviour.
The successful applicant will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status or be working towards it
(Applications are also welcomed from graduates or experienced cover supervisors with a strong English background)
* Have strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
* Be confident leading classes and managing behaviour effectively
* Deliver engaging, well-prepared lessons and learning activities
* Support literacy development and student progress across the curriculum
* Be committed to inclusive practice and student wellbeing
* Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated and supportive team

Requirements
* An Enhanced Child only DBS on the Update Service
* Registration for the EWC
* Full UK driving license (preferred)
