Job Title: Project Manager – Cost Workbook & Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS)

Role Overview
A technically adept Project Manager to lead this delivery stream—driving planning, coordination, stakeholder engagement, and delivery assurance.
This role will bridge the gap between commercial, finance, and project controls teams—ensuring that CBS structures align with Oracle Fusion, Primavera P6, and Unifier implementations while enabling enterprise-wide transparency, control, and auditability.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the end-to-end delivery of the CBS and Cost Work Book programme, ensuring alignment with corporate governance and reporting needs.
* Interface with finance, procurement, engineering, and programme control teams to define standardized cost structures and reporting hierarchies.
* Oversee integration and alignment between CBS and Oracle Fusion ERP, Oracle Primavera P6, and Oracle Unifier.
* Facilitate stakeholder workshops to gather requirements, validate data structures, and resolve interdependencies.
* Manage third-party system integrators or software vendors involved in CBS implementation.
* Define and track programme milestones, ensuring risks and dependencies are proactively managed.
* Support change management and training to drive adoption of new cost structures and reporting tools.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven experience managing complex cost and commercial transformation programmes within utilities, infrastructure, or capital-intensive sectors.
* Deep expertise in Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS), cost modelling, and project controls frameworks.
* Hands-on experience integrating or delivering solutions using:
* Oracle Fusion ERP (particularly Financials and Procurement modules)
* Integrations with wider ERPs - Primavera P6/ Oracle Unifier
* Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) desirable.
* Strong understanding of project cost governance, capex/opex distinction, and budgetary control mechanisms.
* Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and capital planning processes in the UK utilities sector is a plus.
