Contract 24 months (This is a secondment during the training period. Upon successful completion of the MSc in Systemic Family Therapy and registration, the post holder will move onto a permanent Band 7 role. If the course is not completed or registration is not achieved, the secondment will end. All applicants need formal permission from their current manager/service before applying.)

Job Overview
We offer a funded training opportunity to become a systemic family therapist with Children & Young People's Mental Health Service Wirral 0-18 team. Candidates should be currently undertaking or able to demonstrate acceptance onto the MSc Systemic Family training for 2025.
Main duties
The role involves working with families as part of developing a Family Therapy Service. The successful candidate will start on a Band 6 training post, progressing to a Band 7 Family Therapist after completing the MSc and registration with UKCP/AFT. Candidates need two years of systemic training or one year of CYIAPT training.
During training, support will be provided to existing practitioners, managing systemic cases, and maintaining all service expectations.
