Mechanical Execution Engineer
Location: TunsteadReporting to: Head of MechanicalDirect Reports: 7 Mechanical Craftsperson
Join our Tunstead Cement Plant as a Mechanical Execution Engineer, leading the delivery of safe, efficient and reliable mechanical maintenance.This is a key role managing a skilled team and driving plant performance through strong planning, people leadership and continuous improvement.
What Youll Do
* Lead, coach and develop a team of 7 mechanical craftsperson
* Create weekly maintenance schedules using capacity planning
* Chair daily Production/Maintenance meetings
* Oversee safe, high-quality mechanical maintenance work
* Manage subcontractors and ensure cost-effective delivery
* Support plant improvements, shutdowns and reliability projects
* Adapt plans quickly to meet operational priorities
* Promote a strong Health & Safety culture through daily engagement
* Act as first contact for out-of-hours breakdowns
* Deputise for the Head of Mechanical when required
What Youll Bring
* Mechanical HNC/HND (Degree desirable)
* 5+ years experience at supervisor level
* Strong leadership, coaching and communication skills
* Solid understanding of mechanical maintenance principles
* Confident decision-maker in fast-paced environments
* Proficient with CMMS (SAP preferred) & Microsoft Office
* Experience with cost control & contractor management
* Cement industry experience and NEBOSH/IOSH beneficial
