Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Contracts / Operations Manager with a geotechnical or rig management background. You’ll manage projects from post-award through to handover, overseeing drilling crews, ensuring safe and efficient operations, and delivering high-quality results across ground investigation and drilling contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take contracts from award to completion, planning and organising resources effectively.
* Supervise drilling crews and rig operations, ensuring efficiency and safety.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
* Coordinate geotechnical or site investigations, including sampling and reporting workflows.
* Manage project budgets, timelines, and reporting.
* Maintain communication with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
* Oversee project handover, ensuring all documentation and deliverables are complete.
* Identify operational risks and implement proactive solutions.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in rig management, drilling operations, or geotechnical projects.
* Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental requirements for site operations.
* Experience leading teams and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
* Excellent organisational, planning, and leadership skills.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Relevant qualifications in geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, or drilling operations preferred.
