Your role:
As a Governance Director, you will lead the CII’s corporate governance strategy and deliver expert company secretarial services across the organisation and its subsidiaries. You will embed robust governance standards, anticipate regulatory developments, and ensure the Board and Executive are fully supported in their responsibilities.
You will foster strong collaboration between the Board and Executive, enabling effective decision-making and accountability. This includes guiding Non-Executive Directors, overseeing governance for Boards, AGMs, and committees, and maintaining compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Your remit spans strategic oversight of governance frameworks, risk management, and internal controls, as well as managing key external relationships with regulators and auditors. You will safeguard the integrity of governance processes, advise on conflicts of interest, and support affiliated international institutes.
As part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will champion high standards of stewardship, lead a skilled governance team, and drive continuous improvement to ensure governance systems remain resilient and future ready.
