Project Planner
Hybrid (1-2 days per week in Warwick)
£350 per day (Inside Ir35)
6 month contract
We are seeking a Specialist Project Planner with a minimum of 5 years of experience in project planning, particularly with Microsoft Project (MSP2016 or later). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT Transformation projects and programmes, with a preference for those who understand Cyber security.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the planning of 8 concurrent projects within the programme, each overseen by different Project Managers. Your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Designing, building, testing, and implementing new project plans, ensuring compliance with established planning processes and PMO standards.
2. Participating actively in project meetings to update, track, and advise on planning using MSP2016.
3. Feeding planning data into the PowerBI dashboard for reporting, in collaboration with PowerBI developers.
4. Monitoring project progress and identifying early warnings or conflicts related to activities, deliverables, or events.
5. Suggesting improvements to existing reporting frameworks, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
Key Skills Required:
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project 2016 (MSP2016), with at least 5 years of experience, including formulas and views.
* A passion for detailed planning and in-depth knowledge of MSP2016 functionalities.
* Familiarity with SAFe methodology is desirable.
* Strong IT background and related experience.
* Awareness of Cyber security is preferred but not essential.
* Excellent communication skills, with a detail-oriented and highly accurate approach.
* Ideally, candidates will have a degree or equivalent qualification.
