Job Role: Engineering Lead/Maintenance ManagerLocation: Cheshire, UKSalary: £55,000 - £65,000 DOEHours: Mon - Friday (days shifts)We are currently recruiting for an experienced Engineering Lead/Maintenance Manager to lead a high-performing team in a dynamic production environment. This specialist site focuses on manufacture of powders and construction material products for major global brands.About the Role:As Engineering Lead/Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for leading the site maintenance program, ensuring maximum equipment reliability and efficiency.This includes implementing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) strategies, managing a small team of multi-skilled Maintenance Technicians & Contactors, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.As the Engineering Lead/Maintenance Manager your key responsibilities are:
* Lead and develop the Maintenance Team, ensuring high standards of performance and technical competency.
* Implement proactive maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
* Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and contractor relationships to optimise cost efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety regulations, including PUWER, LOLER, and COSHH.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodologies.
* Utilise CMMS and data analytics to track maintenance performance and identify improvement opportunities.
As the Engineering Lead/Maintenance Manager we will have :
* Proven experience in Maintenance Management within a manufacturing, chemical, or industrial environment.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment/systems.
* Experience with project management strategies.
* Familiarity with reliability-centred maintenance (RCM) and predictive maintenance techniques.
* A results-driven mindset with a focus on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Strong IT skills, with experience in CMMS and Microsoft Office applications.
