Overview

The changing shape of contemporary health and social care requires a workforce that can work across boundaries, requiring the HEI sector to evolve to meet the needs of partner organisations. The School aims to develop an identity that resonates with practice partners, a culture of inclusivity and partnership where staff and students can thrive, and an environment that enhances opportunities for multi- and interprofessional learning. This aligns with the UWE 2030 Strategy. The experience of our students is important to us, and we strive to maintain a vibrant and inclusive learning environment. The midwifery teaching team participates in teaching, assessing and supporting pre- and post-registration midwifery students and students from health and social care programmes across the School, contributing to the wider aspirations of UWE Bristol.
