We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Front of House Staff to join our hard working team in the Scottish Borders. The ideal candidates will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable experience at our award winning inn.
This position requires individuals who are passionate about hospitality and possess strong communication skills. Experience in customer service & catering is advantageous but not essential.
Duties
* Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, providing a friendly and professional first impression.
* Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all customer requests are met.
* Assist with food preparation and presentation, adhering to food safety standards.
* Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
* Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy.
* Maintain a clean and organised front of house area, including dining spaces and service counters.
* Support catering events as required, ensuring all aspects of service are executed flawlessly.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment is preferred but not mandatory.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers alike.
* A proactive attitude towards helping others and working as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
* A passion for providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.
