Salary: £37,000 - £43,000 + Pension + Overtime + Benefits
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 6am-2pm, Monday to Thursday 2pm-12am

My client is one of the UK's leading specialist wire manufacturers, supplying a wide range of industries with a worldwide presence. The group has grown into a centre of excellence over the last decade. Due to further expansion, they have recently invested in new projects at the Rotherham site.

The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day‑to‑day tool‑room machining and turning activities, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards within a heavy machinery environment. They should come from a tool‑room machining background and be able to work on their own initiative, working as a time‑served engineer with a mechanical/tool‑room bias.
Requirements include:
* Minimum of a full apprenticeship in a production environment
* Time‑served status
* Creation of CAD drawings for roll design, overlays for roll & shape wire evaluation requirements
* Knowledge of operating & programming Mazak CNC lathes
* Monitoring & control of raw material stock
* Roll inspection and accuracy & finish checks
In addition, the candidate will be involved in general mechanical work and will be offered extensive training to broaden their skills.
