Application Support Engineer - FinTech - £120K
Our client is a growing financial technology (FinTech) firm, based in brand-new offices central Newcastle.
They build innovative, in-house, software for algo trading, investment and asset managers and banks around the world, and are growing their Application and Support Engineering team.
In a varied role you’ll be involved in client-facing support across the business, supporting complex, sophisticated, trading applications - 2nd and 3rd line support.
You’ll worked closely with Development, Quant and DevOps teams to build and implement improvements, manage new code deployments and drive automation.
Requirements:
* Experience in a similar Application Support / Support Engineering position
* Ability to work with demanding clients, supporting applications and delivering releases
* FinTech, FS and / or SaaS experience
* Coding experience to be able to fix bugs and troubleshoot
* Experience of supporting and improving applications
* SQL knowledge
* Good Infrastructure (Windows, Linux, networking etc) understanding
* Experience of monitoring and automation
* DevOps and Cloud (Azure) knowledge is ideal
* Excellent academic background (top university, strong A Levels etc)
