Interim Opportunity: Head of Education Effectiveness & Quality Assurance Location: Hybrid – 3 days WFH / 2 days in office or schools (Kettering) Duration: 3–6 months Rate: £650–£700 per day (Umbrella) IR35 Status: Inside IR35 Start Date: ASAP (immediate availability or up to 1 week notice preferred) About the Role North Northamptonshire Council is seeking an experienced Head of Education Effectiveness & Quality Assurance to provide strategic leadership across Early Years, School Effectiveness, School Governance, and Education Safeguarding. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Education, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the Education Improvement Framework 2025–2028, ensuring every child and young person in North Northamptonshire has access to high-quality education. Key Responsibilities Lead and implement strategies to drive educational effectiveness for children aged 0–16 Oversee school improvement, governance, and safeguarding responsibilities Collaborate with schools, early years settings, and multi-agency partners to improve outcomes Influence and advise senior leaders, stakeholders, and elected members Drive innovation, resource optimisation, and system-led improvement models Lead and inspire a diverse workforce, promoting continuous professional development Ideal Candidate We are looking for a dynamic and influential leader with: Proven senior leadership experience in Education Improvement/Quality Assurance Strong track record in strategic planning, partnership working, and governance Ability to influence and engage with stakeholders at a national, regional, and local level Knowledge of statutory school improvement duties and the broader educational landscape Excellent financial management and resource planning skills To find out more information please contact Lily at Recruitment is done in line with safe recruitment practices.
