Sales Manager UK, Supplemental Nutrition
The Sales Manager UK position has been newly created to manage the division’s growing ambitions. As the lead Commercial position in the large and strategically important UK region, this position has high visibility within the company and is an excellent basis for further development. With an interesting product mix of innovative and proprietary products, this position is well-equipped to allow the new incumbent to be successful in the market place.
The Functional Food division offers a personal working environment in a small team within a leading and strongly growing provider in this specific sector.
Responsibilites
· Increase sales in the UK region through the acquisition of new clients and the development of existing accounts.
· Maintain and improve strong business relationship with accounts through face-to-face meetings and visits, email and telephone contacts.
· Analyse trends and results of customers, negotiate promotions and set up product knowledge training with accounts and their customers. Find out what customers need to sell more.
· Participate in industry conferences.
· Support monitoring competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc and help to protect our market (Ex. imitation products).
· Prepare and update customers’ database and prepare monthly report about them.
· Keep good communication with other colleagues and take timely actions to support and promote related business.
· Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
· Support the existing sales manager for this area
· Willing to grow and take over further responsibilities
The new Sales Manager UK will be based in his/her home office and report to the Senior Manager and Head of Sales
Candidate profile
· Sales driven with some background in food and or food supplements
· B2B product or services sales experience in the target industries. Familiarity with vitamin/dietary supplements or health care business is an advantage.
· Successful track record to gain new business and to expand existing relationships.
· Commercially minded self-starter who is used to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
· Understanding and Respecting Teamwork and International environment.
· Well-networked within the industry. Trustworthy, professional, organized, big picture thinking and reliable when dealing with confidential information. Self-motivated, flexible, open to change and ability to make things happen.
· Extravert personality with a drive to succeed.
· Good communication skills in English is necessary, any other language a plus
· Work allowance in the UK and drivers license is mandatory
· Computer skills MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Social Media
