Accounts Administrator up to £28,000 per annum Location: Tamworth | Office-based Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic Accounts Administrator to join a growing and professional accounts team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Accounts Manager, handling a variety of finance and administration tasks to help ensure the smooth running of the department. This role requires excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and previous experience in a similar accounts support role. Key Responsibilities: Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently. Raising and processing sales invoices. Recording financial transactions using accounting software (Xero) and job management system (SIMPRO). Assisting in maintaining the general ledger and reconciling accounts. Handling general accounting administration tasks. Responding to finance-related queries from both internal teams and external stakeholders. Filing, scanning, and maintaining spreadsheets for invoices and approvals. Managing the accounts email inbox and distributing queries accordingly. Skills and Experience Required: Previous experience working in an Accounts Assistant/Administrator role is essential. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel. Strong attention to detail with an investigative and problem-solving approach. Highly organised and able to work to deadlines in a busy environment. Basic knowledge of Xero and/or SIMPRO software would be an advantage but not essential. Awareness of CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) would be beneficial but is not essential.
