St Paul’s C of E Primary School is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic playworker to be based in our After School Club.
This is a position for the After School Club at St Paul’s C of E Primary School, located in the historic City of York. The school aims to provide a high-quality, engaging and creative curriculum with a family ethos and caring community.
Responsibilities
* Supervise children and organise activities, setting up fun and engaging activities
* Work closely with the staff team and parents in our school community
We are looking for
* Have relevant experience of working with children in the primary years
* Effective communication skills
* A caring attitude
* Thorough knowledge of the school’s policies, procedures and protocols
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to apply given instructions
Timings
The post and hours are as follows for Tuesday – Friday, term time only: 10 hours per week After School Club, 3.15pm – 6pm Tuesday to Thursday and Friday 3:15pm – 5pm.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We require the successful applicant to undertake an enhanced Criminal Record check via the Disclosure and Barring Service. This post is subject to the Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations 2009 and as such shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a Disqualification Declaration. Any information supplied will be discussed at interview.
