GSL Education are currently looking to recruit a dedicated Cover Supervisor to work in a vibrant and supportive school in Braintree. Role Overview: As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will step into classrooms during teacher absences, ensuring continuity of learning. You’ll manage classroom behaviour, deliver pre-prepared work, and support pupils in maintaining focus and productivity. Key Responsibilities of Cover Supervisor: Supervise lessons across a range of subjects, following teacher-set plans. Maintain a safe and orderly learning environment. Manage pupil behaviour effectively and encourage positive engagement. Provide feedback to teachers regarding class performance. Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times. Support the wider school team with additional duties when required. Candidate Requirements: Experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting. Strong classroom presence and confident behaviour management skills. Flexibility, reliability, and a proactive approach to working with different year groups. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. A genuine interest in education and supporting students. Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
