Discover a career where care goes both ways! Catholic Healthcare is recruiting Home and Community Workers to support clients to live at home independently for as long as possible in Kensington and surrounding suburbs. This is a permanent part-time or casual role with flexible hours and days.
Location: Kensington and surrounding suburbs. Employment type: Permanent Part Time or casual roles available. Pay: Increased hourly pay rate from $33.40 to $42.88 per hour + superannuation + km reimbursement (99 cents per km). Employer: Not-for-profit, with associated tax benefits.

Responsibilities
* Supporting and connecting with clients by assisting with day-to-day in-home tasks — cleaning, tidying, washing and other tasks within the client care plan
* Transport to appointments and shopping
* Meal preparation
* Social support or respite for family/carers
* Personal care including assistance with showering and dressing (if qualified/fully trained)
To be successful in this role you’ll need
* A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high-quality care to the elderly
* Comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people
* A reliable team player
* Understanding of workplace health and safety
* Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable insured motor vehicle (essential)
* Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent (not essential as you can complete this through our traineeship program)
* Willingness to apply for a Police Check
