Capital Project Manager – Schools – Croydon – 3 months. Temp to Perm for the right person. Salary: £54,000–£58,000 pro‑rata. Immediate start. 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
Overview
I am looking for a Capital Project Manager to support a schools estates team that manages 55 schools. The role involves £10 million of spend this year, managing multiple projects up to £1 million in value, including room refurbishments, fire‑alarm upgrades, building extensions, lighting or heating upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
* Project manage and support the delivery of all key building programmes throughout the Federation, reporting to the Head of Estates and Projects.
* Project manage and support the management of the condition and maintenance of the school estate.
* Support the asset‑management processes.
* Project manage the capital elements of academy‑conversion projects.
Qualifications
* Public‑sector experience, ideally within schools.
* Experience managing multi‑million‑pound projects and a substantial annual spend.
* Familiarity with refurbishment, fire‑alarm upgrades, building extensions, lighting or heating upgrades.
