Power BI Developer
£40,000 - £47,000 + Bonus
Hybrid - Leicester (4x days a week)

The Role
As a Power BI Developer, you will:
* Design, develop, and maintain intuitive Power BI reports and dashboards for a variety of business functions.
* Build robust data models, including advanced DAX calculations and Power Query transformations, to support accurate and performant reporting.
* Own ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources into accessible datasets.
* Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions.
* Implement and manage Row Level Security, alerts, and other governance features to keep data secure and accessible to the right audience.
* Create high impact, story driven dashboards and multi level reporting for users ranging from operational teams to executive leadership.
* Contribute to the wider data and reporting strategy, helping to consolidate reports and improve data quality and controls.
Your Skills And Experience
To be successful in this Power BI Developer role, you will bring:
* Strong commercial experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards, including data modelling, DAX, and Power Query.
* Proven experience working with relational data and writing SQL to query and prepare data.
* Solid understanding of ETL principles and experience building or working with ETL pipelines from multiple data sources.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, or Azure Databricks.
* Confident stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to gather requirements, challenge constructively, and present insights clearly.
* A collaborative mindset and comfort working in a team oriented, agile environment.
Nice to have:
* Experience with T SQL or similar, and tools such as SSMS or Databricks.
* Advanced Excel skills, including Power Pivot and Power Query, for working with complex datasets.
* Exposure to SSRS or other enterprise reporting tools.
* An interest in or exposure to Python or R for more advanced analytics.
