As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Please note we have both day and night shifts available.
Your role involves planning and delivering care that provides residents with security, dignity, and independence. You will get to know residents and their families, ensuring the delivery of personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will uphold high standards of care and positively influence your team. Tasks include assisting with mobility, end-of-life care, communicating with families, and supporting residents through social and recreational activities, as well as medication administration.
Maintaining accurate records and building strong team relationships are key responsibilities.
About You
* Preferably hold a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care.
* Arrive 30 minutes before shift start for handover and induction.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills for paperwork and liaising with medical professionals.
* Ability to manage emergencies confidently.
* Competent in administering medicines using the Emed system.
* Experience in delivering hands-on care and working on the floor as part of the care team.
* Experience with moving and handling equipment, especially slide sheets.
* At least 6 months experience as a senior carer responsible for building management in dementia or residential homes.
* Understanding safeguarding principles and attending relevant training.
